| BIOGRAPHY Michael Van Metre founded Van Metre Productions in 1989 and is an award winning director, producer, writer and director of photography. Van Metre works with a diverse range of clients including major broadcast and cable networks, public relations firms, advertising agencies and Fortune 500 corporations. Brand categories range from technology to retail, pharmaceuticals, utilities and luxury goods. Van Metre also works extensively with most major film studios for international, domestic and regional junkets, behind-the-scenes DVD production and Electronic Press Kits. Prior to establishing his company, Van Metre worked with CBS in San Francisco for over six years where he produced numerous magazine format programs as well as documentaries and specials. Since 1990, Van Metre has also been a Regional Director for Entertainment Tonight, covering assignments nationally and abroad. Over the course this film and celebrity production, Van Metre has interviewed or directed productions with nearly every major star, including; Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood, Angelina Jolie, Chris Rock, Sir Ben Kingsley, Ophra, Michael Douglas, Charlize Theron, Will Smith, Sharon Stone, Matt Damon and a score of sports stars and music personalities including Sir Paul McCartney, Carols Santana, Keith Richards and U2. Van Metre was also a founding partner and director at Hype Productions, a film production and creative design company, established in 1998. |
